This memorial website was created to celebrate the life of our dear friend and loved one, Heather Leigh Passmore, who passed away on November 15, 2007. Heather, you will live on in your sons, and in our hearts and memories.
Thanks so much to those who attended the Gathering for Heather this past Saturday December 1st. It was held at the Bala United Church (where Heather and Doug were married). It was wonderful to see so many friends and family as we celebrated Heather's life.
For those interested in donations, here are some options which follow in with Heather's interests, which are:
1. Trust Fund for Patrick and Lucas - the boys were the most important thing in Heather's life. Friends in Fort Simpson, NWT have set up an account for a trust fund through CIBC. If you are interested in donating, there are several options. You can send a cheque to Doug Tate (PO Box 267, Fort Simpson, NT X0E0 0N0), or donate through interbranch banking (please call Dinny or Neil Nimmo at 705-762-5821, or Doug at 867-695-3950 for information on account numbers). Donations can be made at the local CIBC branch (Fort Simpson) by asking tellers to deposit in the trust fund for Patrick & Lucas Tate.
2. World Wildlife Fund - conservation and education were passions of Heather's, and WWF is well known and well respected for work in these areas. If you would like to make a donation to the WWF in Heather's name, you can do it by phone 1-800-267-2632 or local 416-489-8800. Ask for extension 2632 and speak to Emily. If you prefer to do it on line you can by going to website: www.wwf.ca and either print out a form and mail it in, or submit electronically. A tax receipt will be returned to you for your donation. You can also email Emily at inmemoriam@wwfcanada.org. Your donation can also include a WWF card to someone who was close to Heather. If you would like to send a card to Doug Tate his address is: PO Box 267, Fort Simpson, NWT X0E 0N0.
3. Alberta Cancer Board/Tom Baker Cancer Centre - the people here treated Heather with friendship & respect, and she gave a lot of herself to try and help others with the diseases from which she suffered. If you would like to make a donation to the Tom Baker Centre in Heather's name, you can by phone at 1-866-412-4222 or local 403-521-3433 in Calgary. If you prefer to do it on line you can by going to the website: http://www.cancerboard.ab.ca/foundation/donations.htm and either print out a form and mail it in, or submit electronically. A tax receipt will be returned to you for your donation. Your donation can also include a card through the Centre to someone close to Heather.
